Cheap Airconditioning to Keep Homes Comfortable During the Warm Autumn

Most of Australia will be facing a warm autumn according to forecasts, as reported by the Australian edition of The Daily Telegraph. The Bureau of Meteorology stated that both day and night temperatures will have a higher average caused partially by the above-average warmth of the surrounding waters. These conditions are predicted to persist throughout the autumn season.

For Melbourne, autumn lasts from March to May as it does for most of Australia. While little can be done about the heat outdoors, the inside of the home can have cooler temperatures. The warmer than average temperatures mean that optimal air conditioning is needed to keep Australian houses comfortable.

If you don’t have an air conditioning system in your house yet and you plan to have one installed, a good choice would be a split system air conditioning set-up.

What is split system air conditioning?

As its name suggests, this system is split into at least two units. The typical set-up consists of one component within the building, and another one outside. Today, you can find many central air conditioning systems that use split components.

Split systems have a single compressor located outside, situated on the ground or on brackets hung on a wall. Multiple units indoors make use of this single compressor without using ducts for air circulation.

What are the advantages?

Split systems have the following benefits:

  • Easier installation – As mentioned above, there are no ducts needed, which significantly reduces the work needed for installation. Connection of the indoor units will only require a small hole in the wall to pass the control wiring and copper tubing through, regardless of how far away the unit is from the compressor.
  • Quiet operation – Indoor units operate quietly enough for a library, as well as bedrooms, boardrooms, and classrooms. The outdoor unit won’t be a disturbance even if installed near a patio or under a window.
  • Easier to maintain – These units have washable filters, and require only periodic cleaning. If repair or maintenance work is needed for the outdoor units, technicians can easily attend to the task.
  • Heating capability – Most units have a “climate control” feature so they are useful even during the cool months.
  • Simple operation – Units usually have a remote control and wall-mounted thermostat, making adjustments easy.
  • Nice aesthetics – Unlike window units, indoor units blend well with interior decor.
  • Cost-effective – You can save energy because units use smaller fan motors and you can run these independently of each other. You can cool a part of the house only when you need to.

You can easily find cheap air conditioning with the help of heating and cooling companies like Mode Heating & Cooling.
